BROWNING'S immortal poem, ".The Pied Piper of Hameliu," which has been the delight of youth and old age for nearly a century, will be interpreted in the form of a pageant by members of the clubs and classes of the Community Eecre-ation Eecre-ation House this evening, beginning at 8 o 'clock. Tho performance, which will be staged out of doors at the Recreation club house, 328 East Third South street, is divided into three parts, the story of the weird piper and his luring awav of mice and children unfolding gradually by means of dances, dialogues and pantomimes. The show opens with the presentation presenta-tion of a May day celebration held in honor of the "riddance of rats through the piping of the pied musician. This will include couple dancing by the Bryant Bry-ant Junion high' school girls," the highland high-land fling by the children's gvmnasium class, the dolls by the Tiny Tots gymnasium gym-nasium class, Pierrot and Pierrette peasant peas-ant dancing by the afternoon dancing class, jumping jacks by the children's dancing class and military marching by the gymnasium classes combined. The piper pipes again and the second sec-ond act opens with folk dances by the children's gvmnasium class, followed bv a baseball drill and folk dances bv children of the Bryant junior high school. ' ' At the opening of part three, enters the lame boy who asks the spirits of the woods for help. Then follow the fireflies dance, the dance of the wood nymphs, the song of the robin number, Pan and the winds and the forest sprites. These numbers will be presented pre-sented by the children 's dancing classes ami the advanced classes. May Y. Farnum, recreation leader; Sara Holiday, club leader and Daisy Rolapp, dramatic leader, will be the directors in charge of the pageant. Musical Mu-sical selections and incidental accompaniments accom-paniments will be furnished by the Oqmrrh school orchestra.
