The leading teams took a larger margin and thus the groups have started to string out. JYom all indications in-dications very few changes are anticipated antici-pated from now until the List of the games, as the first division teams arc showing much strength. In each of the four games, the Bears, who are at the top .of the Boys' section, were returned victorious. The Tigers i proved, e-asy in volleyball and a relay 1 race, while the Badgers were defeated in relay and basketball. In every sport, the Bears are showing unusual strength and A. Jennings, their captain, is working hard to hold the top of the ladder until the end. The Bears have won eight straight games. The Lions and Badgers experienced a rather bad week, but nevertheless remained re-mained in a tie for second place. 0;uy one game was taken by each team aga inst three losses, but their lead was so great that no chanse took 'place. The Lions took on the Coyotrs in volleyball and a relay, and the Wildcats in basketball basket-ball and relay. In volleyball a nd relay, the Badsrers foutrht the Tisers, while the basketball and relay contests were against the Bears. During the week the Coyotes, by winning win-ning three of their four games, managed to cet on even terms wi ih the Tigers, who broke even. The Tigers met the Coyotes in basketball and relay and by winning both games the Coyotes forced into fourth place. The Coyotes met the Lions in volleyball and relay, while the Tigers took the Badgers down the line in the 'same sports. The Wildcats were unable to win more than one game and as a result they have a more firm hold on the cellar position. The Nationals, who are leading the Junior class, won their four games and as a result have a firmer hold on the top rung. The Cards, by taking three out of four, broke the existing tie between themselves and the Cub;. The Cubs, by taking only a single contest, are on the same basis as the Athletics, who broke t even. The Browns and Giants won a : single game each. |
