CHANGES UNDER WAY AT EMMA PROPERTY Large Hoist Being Installed Will Add Greatly to ! Mine Tonnage. The following- report on activities at t he Km ma property in the Alta district was sent to the Now York offices of the company yesterday by Manager J. J. Beeson: During: the past week the installation installa-tion of a larse sized hoist at the head of the third level winze has been under wav. Within t he next - day or two this hoist should he run- ' ninn at full capacity. The hoist will ins 1 ire a larger tonnage than has heirtofore boon taken from the winze, while tin; sort ing platform will ive a higher grade product, so that when the roads are open the ore that is sent to the smelter should bring a higher net profit per ton. The management is now making changes in the 01 gi.uiza tiou at the mine to insure a. maximum effMencv in the mir.ing am exploratory work. The equipment at the mine, includ ing eke trie hoist, pumps?, compressor and dia mnd drith . is of the very best and r.-.ost up to date, and should great ly f:u i'.itate the extraction and development work in the future.
