The Athenian chapter :of the World-Wide World-Wide guild of the Baptist church met Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Homor. Martin. Mr and Mrs. M. A. Mullin have as holiday holi-day guests their daughters, Miss Delia Mullin of Salt, Lake City and Miss Ann Mullin, who has been attending school in Chicago. The annual masquerade dance given by the Pocatello fire department will be held New Year's eve at McXichols & Wright hall. A costumer has been brought here especially for tho event. Anthony, early In Ihe fall, met and decided to discontinue dis-continue their social activities indefinitely and devote all their time to Red Cro?B work. The rooms of tho Ladies' Literary club were given over to the Red Crosn for workrooms. Several ladies donated their sewing machines and work was commenced com-menced in earnest. One romn is devoted to the knitting class. The rooms, are open every afternoon of I he week, except ex-cept Saturday, and that day Is in charge of the committee on cutting out garments gar-ments and planning the work for the next week. Aftor the chapter was well established in St. Anthony, nil the adjoining town were organized Into auxiliaries. Every town in Fremont county has an auxiliary. On Wednesday of last week the Koaf Cross people of Fremont county sent fouVT large boxes of hospital supplier and orv: large box of knitted garments to tr. R.u Cross headquarters. All the stores have erected booths and aro conducting a membership campaign. Six young ladies, dressed as nurses, have patrolled the business streets and have visited every home. In nearly every home In the city the Red Cross service card is on display. The two picture houses, from time to time, have given programmes for the Red Cross. Donations are coming in all the time and a Japanese programme will be given in .January. Several dances also have been given.
