' The company controls by location l nearly 1000 acres of oil lauds in the i two districts and, with the organization organiza-tion effected, is now laying plans to : begin an active drilling campaign to be inaugurated at the earliest possible moment. j The holdings of the El Roy are near those of the Wyoming Consolidated,; ; also made up largely of local capital- , j sis, which is alreadv drilling and has! i :r well down about 1400 feet. The. El' ' Key has had several engmeers report on the district and is placing its faith i chiefly in one made by W. E. Youle of ! Los Angeles, one of tile most promi- ' nent and reputed to be one of the most 1 reliable oil experts in the country. . j .In his report Mr. Youle, who j brought in the tirst oil well in Califor- nia and on whose recommendations op- 1 i-rations were begun in the Midway- j Sunset field, asserts that where the Midway-Sunset field had one mark of j an oil field, the Spring and Bridger ! valley districts on the oast of the ! Meridian anticline have ten such j marks. Mr. Youle 's report has caused a mini- : Iter of California oil men to interest themselves in the district. It was an-i nounced yesterday that a deal for a i large acreage in the Bridger valley ! had been closed by O. R. Rudolph of j Los Angeles. Mr. Rudolph has declined to mako known the interests he represents repre-sents other than that they are California Califor-nia oil capitalists who plan to begin operations in the field early in the spring.
