Show TO INSPECT WORK AT LAVA HOT SPRINGS Special to The Tribune. POCATttMX Idaho. Dec. 29. Members Mem-bers of the state land board are to make a trip to Lava Hot yprinss in the near future for the purpose of investigating complaints in regard to leaving work being be-ing carried on by the state in such an incomplete condition that what are known as the old springs cannot be used by the public. These springs were formerly inclosed by an old frame structure, which was torn down to make way for a substantial new brick building. It is alleged by citizens of Lava that instead of using available funds for the construction of at least a temporary building over those springs, an expensive and unnecessary superintendent's superintend-ent's cottage was erected. According to State Sanitary Inspector .T. K. Whjte, who has been in charge of the work, the existing conditions are due to the fact that tho exacavation for the foundations of the propose' I new bathhouse bath-house cost several thousand dollars more than had been expected. |
