Show IRON MEN BECOMING QUITE COMMON NOW A numher of our best little National league pitchers are trying to outdo one Josephua McGinnity, who gained gobs of fame by doing some iron work a few-years few-years ago. Tjler oi" the Braves started the fashion, then came Benton and Per-ritt Per-ritt of the Giants, to be followed by Rudolph Ru-dolph of the Braves. Ferrltt alone was able to tear off two victories in one afternoon. Benton got a 50-50 EpIU; so did Tyler. Rudolph won the first game and the second ended in a tie. Perhaps If the races in both circuits continue as close to the finish as U.ey are now, some other star iiuriers will be called upon to do a McGinnity. |
