At a meeting of the Republican county cen tral committee commit-tee this afternoon C. K. 11 ollingsworth, chairman of that organization for the past two years, and John V. Bluth. secretary, sec-retary, were unanimously re-elected to i their respective offices lor the ensuing j two years. Through their spokesman, ! Gcorue Kalverson, candidate for slat c jsenatur. the candidates on the local i ticket expressed their belief that Mr. j 1 i oil ings worth and Mr. Lilii! h were the logical men to handle tnc present campaign. cam-paign. The meeting was also called for the purpose of selecting a candidate for state representative to fill a vacancy on the legislative ticket caused by the resignation res-ignation of Sam G. Powell. The ques- , tinn was discussed in detail, but it was decided to place the matter in the hands of a special committee composed, of ( ail Allison, -f. R. Jeppson, D. ti. Wheelwright, Wheel-wright, representing (Jgdcn City; Joseph Skeen and Joseph H. l-'o.vles, representing represent-ing the country districts. This committee commit-tee is to confer on prospective candidates candi-dates for the vacancy and" report at another an-other meeting of the central committee iO be held next Saturday. Lyman Skeen presided as temporary chairman of the meeting, and D. R-Wheplwiight R-Wheplwiight was chosen temporary secretary. sec-retary.
