All over the country plans are maturing matur-ing for the celebration of America !s Electrical week, December 2 tp 9 a.nd to conform with tho other big cities of the United States Salt Lake is making mak-ing arrangements for yiarticinating in the nation-wide movement, and in order to foster this idea a big meeting will be held in the main dining room of the Commercial club Monday night, when an interesting illustrated talk will be given by Harry W. Alexander of Isrew York. Mr. Alexander is director of publicity of the Society for Electrical Development Develop-ment in New York and is one of the national managers of the campaign and a " statesman at large" of the Jovian order. He is visiting all the important cities of the country, as far -west as Salt Lake, as far north as Minneapolis and St. Paul and as far south as New Orleans. At a recent meeting of the local branch of the Society for Electrical Electri-cal Development W. R. Putnam, sains manager of the Utah Power & Light company, was appointed chairman of a commitf.ee to meet Mr. Alexander when he reaches Salt Lake Monday in the interests in-terests of "America's Electrical week." After the talk by Mr. Alexander on Monday night, there will be a general get tocether session and a Dutch lunch and other informal features have been arranged, which will facilitate the matter mat-ter of getting acquainted with Mr. Alexander Alex-ander and formulating: plans for the celebration of America's Electrical week in Salt Lake. The officially recogni-ed celebration will be educational, stimulating and practical, and because of the importance to the technical, as well as the commercial, commer-cial, man it is expected that the meeting meet-ing at the Commercial club Monday night will be an unusually enthusiastic one. I The local committee in charge of the ' preliminary work of arranging for the 1 celebration is composed of S. R. Inch, operating manager of the Utah Power & Light company; D. J.
