George The Tribune this weekstrikes the Arrowhead route between Salt Lake and Los Angeles. An-geles. Perhaps no route in the state nt Utah is more important than the main v " state highway between Salt Lake and St. George and Hurricane, in Dixie land. r This is the first time this route has ever " "been published. The road between Salt Lake and St. George and Hurricane is a splendid highway, high-way, taking everything into consideration. considera-tion. Of course, 'there are a few bad spots in the road, but nearly every foot has been worked or will be this fall, and, as a result, there is now practically a graded road connecting Dixie with Sait Lake Citv. There are many small towns along this route and nearly all are equipped with garages, while some have splendid repair plants capable of fixing " almost any kind of an automobile breakdown. The oast Lake St. George route is bound to be a part of the main highway between Salt Lake and Los Aiigeles, which has been designated as the Ar- rowhead route, while the Hurricane fork will be ono of the leading routes into the Grand canvon country. The Hurricane Hurri-cane fork leads into the Little Zion canyon, which is rapidly becoming a rival of the Grand canyon as a scenic wonder. At the present time there is a twenty-mile drive by wagon into the Little' Zion country, but a road fit for automobile travel will soon be finished into this section. There is a great amount of automobile travel now between Cedar City and St. - George and Hurricane. Light automobile automo-bile trucks dp a great amount of hauling haul-ing and carry all the mail, giving excellent ex-cellent service. Seven extensive dug-, dug-, ways have been built along this section of the state highway and ever- wash of anv size is now covered with a bridge. The Tribune Chalmers Six 30 pathfinder, path-finder, fitted with V. S. tires and usiug Vico oils, recently logged the entire road from Salt Lake to Hurricane and St. George, and this log, together with t (C.-ntlnuea on Follow nr race i DIXIE COH 15 OPEN FPU AUTOS (Continued From Preceding Page.) maps, will be published in sections until un-til completed. Those desirous of making this trip the coining fall or winter should, cut these logs and mans out of The Tribune, as published, as they cannot can-not bo obtained from any other source.
