Both Coach Watson and the men are working hard, but the squad will have to be increased before long in order to have any scrimmage scrim-mage practice, as only about fifteen have been reported thus far. Before the end of the present week, however, the squad will be recruited to full strength, as raanv old men arc expected to fall in. During the week Coach Watson has boon trying to determine just what the men know about the game, ilo has taken them through still workouts every night at punting, throwing the forward pass, tackling and long runs. Most of the old men that are back are in good condition and can stand the grind, but some of them will have to work hard to condition themselves, as the coach says he does not intend to wait for anyone. any-one. Captain Lyle .fudd has been on -the field every night, and as the result of his labors this summer ho is in fine condition. con-dition. Jndd is working harder than ever to help build up tho team. On the line is Lindquist, Bcnniou, Curtis, Church, Jenson, Jiverton and Hatch, with almost a score of other men to select from when they all report for work. On paper the Aggies are a bit stronger than last year, but the Aggie fan cannot can-not see -it this way until thry have showed their ability. The first big game for tho Farmers is with tho Colorado Aggies, last year's conference champs. Watson's men have only three weeks in which to prepare for the Farmers (if tho Centennial state. In that time they will probably play but one game, which will bo with some high school eleven ot the state. By the end of this week all the candidates can-didates for the team will be in school, and then Watson will begin to round out a team when he has seen them at work.
