Show " MIUION FBI fiOADS Legislature Requested to Amend Constitution and Increase Powers. KEXO, Nov., Sept. 2.1. Nevada people peo-ple interested in the good roads movement move-ment will get behind a constitutional amendment to bo voted upon this fall which will increase the borrowing power of tho state from $600,000 to $1,750,000. There is every indication that the amendment will carry, and in the event of success the next 'legislature will be asked to pass a comprehensive good roads bill creating a state highway commission, com-mission, making an appropriation of .tl,OOu,O00 for state highways and directing di-recting the highway commission to sup-ploment sup-ploment county road appropriations with money from the state road fund for road work of permanent character where such work forms part of a state road system. The state law will be so drawn as to harmonize with the recent federal act appropriating $7.3,000,000 for road work in the various states.
