Show LESTER F. HEWLETT, who will fulfill church mission to Great Britain. i Av fe, 'I W. I Mm LESTER P. HEWLETT GOING 01 MISSION Friends Honor Young Man on Eve of His Departure for England. A missionary party in honor of Lester Les-ter F. Hewlett, son of Orson H. Hewlett, Hew-lett, will be given in the Third ward next Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. Mr. Hewlett will leave for Great Britain early in October. He will take the place of his brother, Vern O. Hewlett, who recently returned from the British mission, mis-sion, and his work will be under the direction of Apostle (ieorge F. Kiehards, president of the European mission of the Mormon cburch. Mr. Hewlett is a graduate of the L. D. S. university and was a student last vear at the IJ. of U. He took a prominent part in the student activities and has also been active in the Third ward, of which he is a member. His friends are planning to give him a rousing rous-ing sendoff next Tuesday evening. Those who will take part on the programme pro-gramme are H. S. Ensign, Fred Graham, Gra-ham, Charles R. Pike, Bishop John Clayton, Clay-ton, the Cecilia Ladies' quartette, Miss Grace Evans, Miss Louise Hill, Miss Mae Anderson and the Anderson orchestra. The committee having the nlt'air in charge is composed of Mrs. Ida P. Weil-er. Weil-er. Miss Louise Hill, Mrs. Louise Weiler, Everard McMurrin and Roscoe W. rlavd-ley. rlavd-ley. A feature of the evening will be a "missionary dance from 9:30 to 11 o'clock. Refreshments will also be served. |
