S.'ij I V X 1 GUYS AND DOLLS Val Verda Stake will producetheir annual musical comedy Sept. 6, 7 and 8 at the Regional Center this year. The delightful "Guys and Dolls" will be rehearsed throughout the summer for the early fall presentation. TRYOUTS WILL be held May 10 and 11 from 7 to 10 Preparing for the Val Verda Stake production of "Guys and Dolls" are, front 1 to r, Julie Sharp, musical director; Carene Jordan, director. Back, Barbara Newbold, producer; Kim Madsen, choreographer. p.m. in the Val Verda Stake House for all stake members and other interested people. There are many roles for men and young men and young ladies. Dancers are needed also. Those who try out for singing sing-ing roles need to bring music. There will be an accompanist provided. Dancers need to wear appropriate apparel. There will be scripts from the musical for acting tryouts. The leading ladies include one soprano, one alto, and three non-singing roles. The male leads feature two baritones, one young man, one older, and five tenors, plus several non-singing roles. CHILDREN WILL be worked into some group scenes, plus there will be a children's chorus selected to produce the pre-show activities. activi-ties.
