Show BOUNTIFUL - Annexation of some 50 acres of land in the southeast section of the city has apparently run into a snag and the petition has been referred back to the city planning commission for further study. THE CITY council agreed last week to let the planning commission take another look at the problems and then report to the city council tonight. The property in question is located north of 400 North and east of 1300 East, Bountiful, in what is now the unincorporated unincor-porated area of Davis County. It is located below the "B" on the hillside. GRANT KESLER is the developer of two plats of the property, one plat which is almost completed. He owns the land jointly with the Carl Kingston family. The problem in annexation came when the city council insisted that property be donated for a park or recreational recrea-tional site to serve the area. MR. KESLER said he would be willing to cooperate in the transaction but that the Kingston family has indicated it will not donate any part of the seven acres requested by the city before annexation is approved. "The Kingstons own most of the property, but I'm developing it," he said. MR. KESLER said the property, if annexed by the city, would not be fully developed for at least three years, allowing the city sufficient suf-ficient time to redesign 400 North and Orchard Drive intersection in-tersection and widen and improve 400 North east of Davis Boulevard, grb |
