Barlow as Elks National Youth Week in the city. ACTIVITIES will begin May 1 with a banquet honoring honor-ing outstanding students of the Bountiful area and their parents, sponsored by the BPOE Lodge No. 2442. Nancy Neuenschwander will receive a $100 savings bond as winner of the essay contest, "My Responsibility As An American Citizen." Robert Madsen and Ruth Ann Leavitt shared first place honors of the scholarship contest sponsored by the Bountiful Lodge and they will each receive $100 savings bonds. IN ADDITION, these latter two students also won honors This is Elks National Youth Week in the area, as proclaimed bv ' Mayors Elmer Barlow of Bountiful and Grant Secrist of West Bountiful. Seated left and right. With the two mayors are standing 1 to r, Nancy Neuenschwander, David Traith, Exalted Ruler; Rutj Levaitt, Gene Thomson, youth chairman; and Robert C. Madsen in the state Elks contest and Mr. Madsen will receive $350 and Miss Leavitt will get $600. "Teenager of the Month" winners will be announced at the banquet and these students will be presented awards for their outstanding service to school and community. com-munity. ALSO AS part of Elks Youth Week, a disco dance will be held Friday, May 4, hosted by the Bountiful Elks Lodge, 400 North and 500 West, West Bountiful. Dancing will be from 8 until 11 p.m. and there 'will be an admission charge of $1 per person. Throughout the year, the Bountiful Elks sponsor many youth programs including essay es-say and scholarship contests, "teenager of the M programs, Eagle Z awards, Little Lei, Baseball sponsorship hoop-shoot" program t dances for teenagers.
