Show Founder's Day Theme 'Seeks Mew Horizons' "Seek New Horizons" is the theme of Beta Sigma Phi's 48th Annual Founder's Day celebration. DAVIS COUNTY'S nine chapters of this international organization held a banquet for this 48th anniversary at Oakridge Country Club on Thursday, April 26. Bobbie Riley of Bountiful's Receptor Mu Chapter was chairman of this event with LaVilla Morris of Xi Phi assisting. as-sisting. A WELCOME TO the pledges was delivered by Dona Dixon of Alpha Phi, who also serves as vice president of the Davis County Council. Highlights of our local activities ac-tivities were summarized by Bobbie Riley. THE FOUNDERS Day Pledge was held by Audrey B. Carr of Preceptor Mu. This pledge is a renewal of the promise and the gage d'amour that each member took at her acceptance into this sorority. A SPECIAL message from International Headquarters located in Kansas City, Mo. -was read by a member of Beta Be-ta Rho, Layton. The Order of the Rose-degree Rose-degree was bestowed upon Louise King and Audrey Carr, , both of Preceptor Mu and upon Barbara McArdle of Xi Alpha Gamma. HONORED GUESTS were Dora Trowbridge-erf Bountiful and Gretta Sharp of Salt Lake City. Both these ladies also served as judges for table decorations and for the scrapbooks which must depict the current theme and meet specific requirements. Awards for table decorations decora-tions went to Beta Rho - Lay-ton, Lay-ton, Kaysville area; Alpha Phi - Bountiful; Beta Mu -Fruit Heights, East Layton area.
