Show Brd fifes high and earns winas L i J Graduating senior, Alisa Bird, loves water-skiing, dancing, clogging and singing. She also loves her young daughter, Jessica, who was bom during the beginning of Alisa's senior year. Alisa and her husband John have struggled with the pressures of being in school and supporting a household. Because of Alisa's hard work and dedication, dedica-tion, the struggle has been a successful suc-cessful one. Being a mom and wife can be full time work. Add to that, studying stu-dying while taking care of a child, and there are sometimes not enough hours in a day. Alisa's favorite subject at school has been her psychology class. Her grade point average of 3.995 is indicative of her strong desire to finish her education. Plans for this Young Parents graduate include going on to col- lege. She hopes to enter social work or go into the nursing field. Alisa earned enough credits for graduation prior to the end of the school year, but with her thirst for education, she continued con-tinued to attend classes. Alisa has received a great deal of help and support from her husband. She will now receive some help with her education expenses. She has been awarded a scholarship to pursue her college col-lege goals. |
