CLIFFORD EVANS Golden Wedding Celebration Plans Made Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Evans, will known residents of Parowan, will observe their Golden Wedding Wed-ding anniversary on Jan. 1, New Yfar'i Day, it is announced by their children, who are planning to honor them at a family dinner that day. The couple were married Jan. 1, 1913 and the marriage was later la-ter solemned in a St. George Temple ceremony June 1, 1913. Mr. Evans was born In Parowan, Paro-wan, Feb, 4, 1893, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Evans. Mrs. Evans was born here on Jan. 15, 1895, to Mr. and Mrs. George A. Lowe. Sr., all prominent early day residents of Parowan. i Their early married life was spent in farming and cattle ranching. Mr. Evans later entered enter-ed the employment of Columbia Iron Mining Co. where he was employed f.r 17 ye?'s, retiring In ";). N.is. Evans has served as teacher In the Primary Association Associa-tion and has bfcn active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers organization or-ganization In Parowan. They are parents of nine children, chil-dren, eight of whom are now living. liv-ing. They are: Jay Lowell Evans, Mrs. Randall Adams, Mrs. EIRoy Bryant, Dee Evans and Farris Evans, Parowan; Hal S. Evans, Murray; W. Dale Evans, Salt Lake City and Dan L. Evans, San Clemente, Calif. They also have 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will gather for a dinner at the First-Second Ward Relief Society rooms, with Brothers Bro-thers and sister of the couple to be special guests for the event. These Include: Leonard Evans, Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham, Mrs. Eva Topham. Mrs. Bern ice Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Daily, of Parowan and Paragonah; Mrs. 'Deslie Anderson, St. George; Mr. 'and Mrs. Len Spendlove, California; Cali-fornia; Mrs. Lucille Fife, Reno, Nevada, Mrs. LaVern Stevenson, Las Vegas, Nev. A short program will be given by the grandchildren following the dinner. They will be home, after 3 p. m. |
