Show ' a ' SMI 11 a J: BANNER on display at state capitol. Dinosaurland banner on display in SLC A banner representing Vernal has been hung in the state capitol rotunda, Olivette Trotter, director of the Utah Arts Festival, said this week. The large colorful banner was originally designed for the 1980 Utah Arts Festival and was displayed there as one of thirteen banners representing the different regions of the state. Vernal's banner was the result of hours of work in the design and actual production of the banner coordinated by Colleen Martin. Ms. Trotter explained ex-plained that the banners were hung in the capitol to brighten the building and indicate the statewide involvement of citizens in the arts. The banners will remain on display at the capitol through Feb. 20 when they will be returned to the cities they represent. |
