Show Experience vfBi By Diedra FllifriU In the past four years the State of Utah has been decreasing its funds for Uintah County's Nutrition Program very rapidly. In 1978 local funds-consisting funds-consisting of Uintah County contributions con-tributions and Project Income (Project Income is donations made by those who are served the meal), was $13,876 or 33 percent of the cost of the program. But in 1981 local funds will have to assume the burden for $22,766 or 42 percent of the program, while the state pays only 28 percent of Uintah's Nutrition Program and 50 or 60 percent of some other county programs. We have 2,063 people 60 years of age and over in Uintah County, so if we serve as we have estimated, 25,000 meals, will will only serve 12 meals per person. If we could increase our financing, perhaps perh-aps get better support from the State Division of Aging, we could serve more meals and eliminate more and more needs of our elderly people. The Valentine Dance Friday night was a great success. Many of the dancers came in beautiful red dresses and skirts. Refreshments were brought by Ruby Workman, Melba Woodhouse, Mamy Goldstone, Lula Chew, Lyla Bennion, Marion Swain, Ada Murray and Betty Jean Ufford.
