Spencer was honored during Sacrament meeting Feb. 8 at the Lapoint Chapel prior to his departure for the Japan-Sendi mission. Those out-of-town guests who attended a special luncheon for Michael included: in-cluded: Mrs. Zola 0. Spencer, Neola; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Powell, Vernal; Mr. Roland Spencer and family, Magna; Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Spencer and family, Kearns; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Spencer and family, Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Marden Spencer, North Salt Lake; Mr. Gary Gardner, Salt Lake City. Michael enters the MTC Thursday, Feb. 12. Ballard North Ward's Young Women took 1st place in the Stake Young Women's Volleyball Tournament held last Saturday. The coach was Lenna Reed. Ballard North Ward held their Pine Wood Debry Wednesday evening, Feb. 9 at the Lapoint chapel. The Zoning and Planning Committee of Ballard Town held a business meeting last Friday night. Three different dif-ferent petitions came before the committee and they were all passed on. Violett Butcher's niece, Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Ilene Clark and 3 children from Salt Lake City are here staying with her until their trailer home is moved in just south of Violett's home, where they will be making their home. Dick Pierson of Neola has prepared a trailer hook-up on his property across the road from the- B.Y. Whitmore's home on the old airport road for a trailer park. Mr. and Mrs. Monte and Donna Mitchell have moved their trailer home into North Ballard Ward and will be living beside his father, Leland Mitchell. Monta and Denna have been living in Roosevelt. Graveside services in memory of Danile Ephriam Sheedy, born Nov. 25, 1980, Vernal, who died Feb. 6, 1981,were held Feb. 9. The parents are David Sheedy Jr. and Ellen Ann Shiller Sheedy. The Prayer at the mortuary was by Dennis Toyland. The prayer at the services was given by Bishop Stanley Womack Jr. The first speaker was the father of the deceased, Robert David Sheedy, Jr. The mother then spoke. Roland Powell gave the closing prayer and Deloy Squires dedicated the grave. Burial was in the Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives that were in attendance were Scott and Lauretta Banta from Blackfoot, Idaho. Lauretta is Ellen's sister. |
