Show Superintendent of schools resigns Superintendent Wayne Reid, Uintah School District, announced his resignation as superintendent, Tuesday, which will become effective when his present contract expires, July 1, 1981. Reid. who has served as superintendent superin-tendent of the Uintah School District for five years, said that at this time he doesn't know what the future has in store for him. Reid has 19 years experience in education and since his years as superintendent, growth in student population has been 21 percent. National academic test results in grades three, six. nine and twelve have increased substantially during Reid's term in office. "One of the greatest things I accomplished ac-complished was an improvement of academic standards in the district," Reid said. The reason for Reid's resignation was discussed in executive session during last Thursday's board meeting, but official reasons haven't been made public. |
