Show Local Merchants Give Fine Support To Polio According to Mrs. Dwain Buchanan, Bu-chanan, polio chairman for Roosevelt City, the campaign is going forth in a very satisfactory satisfac-tory manner, with all committees commit-tees doing their utmost to carry out their various duties. Collections at the Roosevelt Theatre Sunday and Monday. January 18 and 19, amounted to $151.50. This amount greatly exceeded theatre collections in past years. Mrs. Parley Rawlings was in charge of this phase of the program. Mrs. Buchanan wishes to thank Howard Harrison for his splendid support in. the campaign, cam-paign, allowing polio collections in the theatre two nights. The chairman also stated that fine cooperation had been given by the majority of the business men in town in allowing; the iron lungs and posters to be placed in their establishments and for their generous contributions: contri-butions: The city's drive will be climaxed cli-maxed by the Mothers' March on Polio, with the Socialette Club being in charge of this part of the campaign. |
