Show AUTOMOBILES COLLIDE NEAR 1 RIVEROALE MILL AND TWO OF I . THE OCCUPANTS ARE INJURED I Two travelers were painfully injured in-jured yesterday afternoon at 2.15 p. ra., on the Rlverdale road when automobiles au-tomobiles driven by R. H. Bassett of Layton and Charles Taylor of River-dale River-dale collided near the bridge in front of the Riverdale .mill. The Injured were Mrs. Charles Taylor and a man from Layton, named Sandall, who was riding in the Bassett machine. Bassett, Bas-sett, who is manager of the Morris-Merrill Morris-Merrill Lumber company at Lavton, was riding with Sandall and friend, C. J. Weaver, and -was coming toward Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were going to thefr home in Riverdale. Bassett's automobile attempted to cross the culvert on the north side, t which would place it on tho left side of the road coming toward Ogden. The Taylor machine also attempted to cross on the north side of the culvert, which, however, would be the right side for it. and the machines collided. Sandall was thrown forward through the windshield. His nose was badly cut and he received severe cuts on his left arm. Mrs. Taylor was thrown forward for-ward in the machine and also injured about the head, not seriously, however. how-ever. The Taylors were driving .an Overland Over-land car and Bassett a Ford. The two machines were badly damaged. Sandall was brought to Ogden and treated by Dr Ezra Rich. Bassett assumed all responsibility for the accident and ordered both machines ma-chines taken to a garage for complete com-plete repairs, the bill to be sent to him. He also offered any further assistance as-sistance that he might render and left his name and address with Mr. Taylor. |
