"The Fighting Trail" has action romance, love, revenge and the eleventh chapter chap-ter is. equally as entrancing ns each of the preceding ten episodes. . Tiny Miss McAllister has been with the Essanay company ever since she was three years old. However, it was not until last spring that she won appreciative ap-preciative recognition; Her current production, "Pants," is her latest worlc and, according to critics, her best. Presenting the pathetic plight of a rich little girl who has no playmates, in contrast with the poorer but much happier children of the ghetto, "Pants" is a picture which will tug at the heart strings of its viewers. A tender romance between "grown-ups" has boen interwoven into tho escapades of the youngsters and affords a strong sequence of dramatic situations. Little Mary was born in Los Angeles, An-geles, although she likes to claim Salt Lake City as her home. She owes her splendid training to her mother, who was a prominent actress before her marriage. The child bears the signal distinction distinc-tion of 'being the youngest officer in tho United States army, having been appointed a sergeant in recognition by the war department of her work in recruiting and for the Red Cross. She is rooro proud of her chexrons than of her most notable screen success, suc-cess, which is as It should be. |
