Show I' THE ASTRONOMY OF j TODAY i In yesterday's Standard, 0. J. Stil-well Stil-well secretary of the publicity bureau, gave a very interesting summary of the latest discoveries as to Venus, and he has been almost prevailed on by I the Standard to give our readers a digest di-gest of some of the big outstanding facts found in one of the newest works on the heavens. Astronomy in the past thirty years has made many advances, upsetting a very big percentage of the theories that were held as late as twenty years ago and which found a prominent place in the text books of our schools. It would prove educational as well I as entertaining to have a few lessons in astronomy appear in the Standard. oo |
