Show BOND FOR BERRY IV BE RAISED THIS IIFTERNOON Frank L. Berry, now In the city Jail charged with assault with intent to murder his former wife, Harriet Berry, by shooting her to death, may be released on $5000 bond late this afternoon or tomorrow. The shooting occurred Saturday night, December 1, at the Royal Dancing academy. George F. Halverson, counsel for the accused man, has advised Acting Police Chief O. H. Mohlman that tho prospects for raising tho necessary bond are becoming brighter and that probobly ho will have bondsmen to qualify thi saftornoon. It is understood under-stood to be almost certain that bond will be givo ntomorrow, If not today. Berry was arraigned before Judge George S. Barker of the municipal court, last Saturday. His bond was fixed at ?5000 at that timo, pending his preliminary examination next Thursday morning. Mrs. Berry, who suffered a dangerous wound in the. shoulder, has been dismissed from tho hospital. |
