Show KAISER LIKES THE' SCOUNDREL That all Russia is far from being blinded by the -dust thrown in the air by Lenine and Trotzky is made clear by two cartoons lately copied from Russian papers. A Petrograd paper represents Lenine Len-ine as the betrayer of Christ and the kaiser as the devil supplying Lenine with thirty pieces of silver. Under the picture is the legend, "History Repeats Itself." Murcha, in Moscow, represents the kaiser arriving by train, accompanied by a bearer of the iron cross. The emperor shakes the hand of Lenine and this candid conservation follows: Lenine "I bave finished. All Russia is yours." ' WilhelmT-"Thanks. I thought you a Socialist; now I see you are an exceptional scoundrel. I like you." If there is much of that sentiment in Russia, the Bolsheviki will not be allowed to turn the. country over to the kaiser without a mighty struggle. Already there is evidence of the coming storm of indignation. |
