Show - ... . - ''"'-Si" J OPENS TONIGHT. Cedar High School's production of South Pacific will open this evening. This scene depicts the cast in the World War II musical production. "South Pacific" presented by Cedar High Drama Department Cedar High School will kick off their Bicentennial production with the great Rogers and Hammerstein musical, "South Pacific". This famous musical, set on a south sea island during World War II opens tonight, Thursday, at 8:15 p.m. at the Cedar High School auditorium. The play was chosen in order to honor the veterans of the many conflicts that have shaped America. Taking the lead role as Emile de Becque is David Felix. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Felix. He is a member of the Acappella Choir and is student-body student-body president at Cedar High School. Janice Bickmore plays the part of Nellie Borbush. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Bickmore. She is a senior and a member of the Acappella' Choir and the Crimson Soul. She is also drill mistress this year for the Mohey Tawa marching group. The role of Bloody Mary is played by Cindy Chamberlain. Cindy is a senior, a member of the Acappella Choir and Crimson Soul. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Royce Chamberlain. Randy Daniels assumes the role of Luther Bills. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Daniels. Randy is also involved in many of the musical groups at Cedar High School. Other lead roles will be assumed by Corey Fullmer, as Lt. Joseph Cable and Emily Jane Eager as Liat. South Pacific is predicted to be a very huge success by director and cast members alike. |
