Show El. Students present Musical Salute PAROWAN -A beautiful Bicentennial Salute was presented by students and teachers of the Parowan' i Elementary School Thursday eveing. I must agree with what president Kimball said when he was honored by a program from this outstanding children's chorus: , "I have never seen a more beautiful group of children or heard more beautiful music," They were truly a joy to see and hear. High school students would be hard pressed to present a better disciplined or more entertaining program. The children led the assembled crowd up through the 1776 to 1976 years with barbership singing, Charleston and square dancing ' and beautiful songs of our American heritage. Every child in the group was trained to watch their singing director, Mrs. Roma Jensen, every minute and their voices blended together to equal a rich full sound. The costumes teachers and parents had made for the occasion oc-casion added a great deal.as each class in the elementary presented a special number. The Bicentennial salute was presented to a full house in the PHS Auditorium and was very rewarding to all who attended. Teachers who helped plan and produce the program were: Floyd Matheson, principal; Mrs. Roma Jensen, Mrs. Jolene Clark, Phil Adams, Mrs.' Marcille Topham, Miss Trudy Savage, Tom Zaleski, Chester Benson, Boyd Robinson and Wayne Hermansen. |
