Show Cedar Stake sponsoring Church Dances Dancing in the Cedar Stake House was the setting for many "sweethearts" as they celebrated Valentines this year. The dance, sponsored by the Cedar Stake, was the first in a series of four monthly dances and was open to all couples "who enjoy dancing and agree to keep Church standards." Plans are now being made for a St. Patrick's Dance in March by committee members under the direction of Chairman Rollo Brunson. Mr. Brunson indicated that dance cards are still available at a reduced price of $7.50 for the three remaining dances (March, April and May). Tickets at the door are $3 per couple. , Anyone interested in obtaining a dance card may do so by contacting Rollo Brunson, John Bennee, Dale Brinkerhoff, Dell , Slack, Dean Pearson, Kimball Weaver, or Jerry Carter. The Valentines Dance began at 8 p. m. with instruction in Ballroom Dancing. At 9, Heber Lund and his orchestra arrived to furnish music for the rest of the evening. A short intermission at 10:30 featured Mr. and Mrs, Jim Price singing some appropriately ap-propriately romantic numbers. This same format is planned for the next three, dances. Instructions In-structions in various types of dancing will be given for an hour under different instructors in their particular specialty. Mr. Brunson stressed the fact that "the dances are not limited to member of the Cedar Stake. All couples are invited." |
