College alumni will be held February 28 at Grand Canyon College, Phoenix, Arizona, just prior to tip-off between the T-Birds T-Birds and defending NAIA . champion Antelopes. ( The informal reception will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Canyon College cafeteria,. 3300 West Camelback Road. Ligfit refreshments will be served, slides of SUSC shown and plenty of time available for visiting before the basketball game. SUSC alumni Rex E. Harris, Sun City, and Ms. Dixie Foster, Phoenix, will co-host the event. "All alumni and friends of ' SUSC in the Phoenix area are invited to attend the reception," H. Grant Seaman, president of the' SUSC Alumni Association, notes. "We'd also like to invite any people from southern Utah who might be in Phoenix for the game," he said." The Phoenix reception is a follow-up to one held in Salt Lake City prior to the, SUSC-Westminster SUSC-Westminster game February 17. "We had over 50 alumni attend the Salt Lake reception and had a most enjoyable time visiting, seeing SUSC slides, and being entertained by 'Morningside,' a musical trio of 1973 alumnae Sheryn . Daugherly, Susan Memmott and Lou Weaver," Seaman reported. |
