Seventh Grade, Nancy Knell and Gary Perkins; Activities at CJH by Wendy Wood The Junior High Ski Club made a trip to Brian Head on Feb. 11. They get a special rate for a two-hour two-hour lesson and a full day pass. They spend the whole day skiing and generally having a good time. On Feb. 13 the annual Valentines dance Was held. The theme was "I Write the Songs" and the colors were red and white. The seventh graders decorated the entire dance and they did a really good job. The royalty chosen for the dance was: 9th Davy Smith and Melinda Hull; 8th Doug Christensen and Shari Targensen; 7th Gary Perkins and Nancy Knell. Feb. 17 the Milford Tigers traveled to Cedar for Cedar's final game of the season. It was i an exciting game and the final 1 score showing the Cedar Warriors in the lead. The high scoreres for Cedar were Craig Jensen-26; Brent Slack-15; and Zach Burns-12. Milfords high scoreres were: Jones with 24, Williams with 9 and Meyers and Hintt with 7. The Jr. High's rodeo club has a new advisor and they have a trip planned to Las Vegas and one to t Wayne Newton's ranch. They have had trouble getting their club going but it's now one of CJH's active clubs. The concert band held a bazaar on Feb. 19. They were raising money to take the band to play in Disney Land for their Bicentennial Bicen-tennial celebration "America on Parade." They will also play in various schools and give two night concerts. Special thanks goes to the PTA for helping with the bake and .white elephant sales. Your support is really needed help the band raise the necessary funds. Please help. |
