Show adorining the tables. The Mia Maids planned the evening activities under the supervision of Stake Mia Maid advisor, Delores Robinson. A delicious ham dinner was served to the 95 girls, mothers 1 I 1 - ! 1 Mia Maids hold Standards Night - - PAROWAN - Mia Maid Standards night was held Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Parowan 3rd Ward Cultural Hall, Theme for the evening was ' "Memories" and the decorations were in honor of the Bicen-. Bicen-. tennial, with beautiful flowers " and old fashioned lamps ana assemDiea guesis, tonowea by a short program. Girls in each ward in the Stake chose a woman in their community com-munity they admired and invited her as an honored guest. Then each Mia Maid president presented a tribute and a gift to their honored guest. Parowan First Ward invited Mrs. Barbara Adams; 2nd Ward, Carol Wright; 3rd Ward, Zella Ingerham; Paragonah, Hannah Robinson; Summit, Violet Hulet; Enoch 1st Ward, Ina Richardson; Richard-son; Enoch 2nd, Druilla Smith. After the tributes a musical number was given by Wendy Stubbs. She sang and accompanied ac-companied herself on the guitar. A musical number was also given by a group from Paragonah and Summit. Zella Ingerham gave a short talk to the girls and their mothers and each girl was presented with a plaque with a rose, by the ward advisors. Flowers were presented to Delores Robinson by the girls as a thank you for her help to them. Tracy Dalton, youth chairman gave the welcome and a few remarks. Invocation was by president Phillip Hunts, and the benediction by President Hulet. Wendy Stubbs was in charge of printed , programs. A beautiful evening was enjoyed by all who attended. |
