Show Garn receives appointment Garn plans to travel to Geneva later this year for meetings with the Soviet and American delegations. U. S. Senator Jake Garn has been app ointed as a Congressional , Adviser to the U.S. Stratf ;gic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT) delegation in Gleneva during 1978. The appc tintment was made by Vice President Walter Mo ndale, in his capacity as President of the Senate. As a Cf ngressional Adviser, Ad-viser, Ga rn is officially authorized to take a direct role in the SALT negotiating process. He ha d previously served tis an unofficial adviser , to the SALT delegatio n. |
