Show Cedar West Stake Dance Festival The Cedar West Stake Dance Festival, "Let's Go Dancing," will be held Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. at the Cedar High School gymnasium. There will be over 300 dancers participating in the event and wards will perform per-form specific selections. Good grillmanship begins by knowing how to build an even-burning charcoal fire. Start by stacking the briquets in a pyramid. They'll light faster this way because the air can circulate around the briquets. Members of the 2nd, 8th and Kanarraville Wards are doing "Swing," and "The Latin Hustle." Members of the 11th, 6th and 15th Wards will be performing the "American Ball Room," dance. "Folk and Square," dances will be performed by the 9th and 7th Wards and the 13th and 16th Wards are doing the "Latin Ball Room" dance. The young adults from Cedar West Stake are doing "The Tango," and the All Girl dance consisting of 64 girls from throughout the stake will be doing a "Jazz" selection. Dance directors and others from the stake will be doing "A Viennese Waltz." Special selections will be performed by the LDS Institute In-stitute students including "New Era," conducted by Phillip Hanks. The Debbie Laing's Adagio Dancers will also perform. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy this colorful event. |
