Show Ram Trac listers capture Meet Ribbons PAHOWAN -The Parowan Rams track team traveled to Milford Saturday for a four-way four-way meet with Milford, Kanab, and Beaver. The day was extremely windy but the teams participated very well. In the 100 yard dash, David Evans placed first. He also ran the 220 yard dash and placed third. In the 440 yard dash Mike Robinson won the event with a 55.3 clocking. Kim Bess and Blair Bentley placed first and second in the 880 yard run. Blair also ran the mile, his specialty, where he placed first. The 2 mile run found Dean Roberts finishing 2nd while teammate team-mate Tony Moss picked up 3rd place points for the team. In the relays the Rams looked gixxi as the team of David Kvaas, Kim Bess, Mike Robinson, and Mike Evans remain undefeated this year. The mile relay with a team of Dan Robinson, Robin-son, Richard Burton, Kim Bess and Mike Robinson, ran away from the field in winning the event. The Rams had to settle for a second in the medley relay behind Milford, team members included David Evans, Richard Burton, Scott Freeborn and Stan Reason. In the field events the Rams went 2nd and 3rd in the discus with Mike Evans and Rocky Patterson. Also in the Shot Put, Mike placed 2nd and Rocky 4th. Bret Matheson placed 4 th in the high jump and Mike Robiason brought home the 2nd place ribbon in the long jump. Scott Adams, a newcomer to the javelin, placed 4th. |
