Of the eight victories, vic-tories, one came over the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champion, Western State College. It was the only loss of the year for the Mountaineers. Overall, Kingsford guided his teams to 51 victories and 51 losses. SUSC moved into a four-year football program only two years before Kingsford took over. Kingsford-coached teams have been noted for strong passing attacks and solid defense. "We feel that Coach Kingsford has done an exceptional ex-ceptional job for us, especially so because of some of the limitations he has worked under," Bruce Osborne, SUSC athletic director, said. "We are looking for a smooth transition with a minimum of program interruption in-terruption under Coach Bishop." |
