Show New VVMC Board Member Luree Sargent Schmutz has been elected to the position of Governing Board Member on the Valley View Medical Center Governing Board, it was announced this week by Max G. Miller, chairman of the board. Board members are selected for their ability to represent the interests of the community served by the hospital." Mrs. Schmutz comes well prepared, having been born and reared in Cedar City and having given many years of civic and church service," Miller said. She has served as president of both the Junior High and High School Parent-Teacher Associations, Secretary of the South Elementary PTA, President and Secretary of the Cowbelles, and a member of the Campus-community Campus-community Orchestra. Mrs. Schmutz has served in many different capacities in theLDS Church, including ward and stake leadership and teaching positions. She is also graduated from the Branch Agricultural College. Mrs. Schmutz and her husband, Eldon, are the parents of four children and have three grandchildren. They have also been the foster parents of three Navajo students and presently, have a Rotary Exchange Student from Brazil in their home. |
