Show T-bird Thinclads host Meet For the first and only time this season Southern Utah State's track team will be at home for competition. Friday the T-Birds host teams from Mesa, Snow, Dixie, and College of Eastern Utah for the SUSC Invitational. Action gets underway at 1 p.m. in T-Bird Stadium beginning with the field events. Last week the T-Birds placed fourth in the Nevada-Las Nevada-Las Vegas Quadrangular. SU scored 29 points to finish behind UNLV (34), Cal Poly-Pomona Poly-Pomona (42), and Glendale, AZ (81). Triple jumper Marc Braodway and shot putter Don Smith got SUSC's only first places. Broadway leaped 48-3 while Smith threw the shot 47-2. John Russo placed second in the long jump with a 22-8, and Greg McDonald finished second in the 110 meter high hurdles with a 15.1. Russo also finished third in the high jump with a 6-4 while Joe Wells earned a third in the discus. |
