Show Workshops on Parks Operation Public workshops are scheduled at four Utah locations to solicit views and recommendations on alternatives for the future manawmpnt nf Rrvrp possible improvements to Utah State Highway 12. Copies of the Assessment of Alternatives have been distributed to various Federal, State and county ' Canyon National Park in southern Utah. The workshops will be held starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, at the Music Building of Southern Utah State College in Cedar City, Utah. Public comment is invited on a document known as an Assessment of Alternatives for Bryce Canyon's General Management Plan. Among the park's principal issues, the 126-page document examines park concessions and overnight lodging, transporatation and fee collections, trail use and ciruclation, North Campground Cam-pground development and government offices and representatives, and to individuals in the area. Copies are available upon request from the Superintendent, Superin-tendent, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah 84717, and from the Rocky Mountain Regional Office, 655 Parfet Street, POBox 25287, Denver 80225. In addressing the principal prin-cipal issues at the park, the Assessment of Alternatives notes that: Immediate and long range major investments are required to upgrade the substandard condition of the cabin complex and supporting sup-porting utility systems. |
