Show Family Service State Board Visit The Utah Board of Family Services will meet with local officials and visit the Cedar City and St. George offices of the Department of Social Services July 26, according to JoAnne Rice, Chairman. Mrs. Rice said the board, which has several new members, will be making the trip, "to get acquainted with staff, to become familiar with concerns of local officials and to see, first-hand, the delivery of services." The visit will be part of a three-day trip the board is making July 25-27. Board members will be making similar visits in Price, Brigham City and Logan as part of an effort to become closer attuned to public attitudes and social service problems around the state. "We feel this visit is necessary to enable us to make more informed, realistic and effective decisions on how we're serving our clients, allocating our budget and using our staff to deliver social service programs," Mrs. Rice said. "This is especially important in light of the recent unification and reorganization in the Department of Social Services Ser-vices which transferred all Division of Family Services field operations to the new Field Services Function," said Mrs. Rice. |
