Rolayne Walker Walk-er visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker and Bonnie Dalley with Bis- ' hop ad Mrs. Ivan Dalley, ! Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker Whick-er and son Keven of Tooele arrived here Friday to spend the week end with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport. They all spent Saturday in i St. Ceorrc and were aceom-panide aceom-panide by the Davenports' , daughter, Mrs. Dannie Condio of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker and Rolayne, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow and Dennis traveled to Beaver Dam Lodge Saturday where they met the Farrow's daughters daugh-ters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton and children, chil-dren, and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck orcter of Las Vegas, and spent the day together. . Bertrand Dalley and daughter, daugh-ter, Mary Beth, traveled to St. George Sunday to spend the clay with Mrs. Dalley, who, 1 is there doing Temple work. Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and family visited in Beaver "unday. 1 Mrs. Donna Davenport Our community looked like one of the early Wild Went eras last Thursday morning, when all the available law en-forment en-forment officers of the county and also some local men armed arm-ed themselves and wore on the lookout for two young men from Idaho who had stolen stol-en an autmnbile in Cedar City and wore chased here by the city policemen traveling at speeds up to 120 miles per hour. The car turned onto a '-.lde street here and crashed into the homo of Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, who were in Salt Lake City at the time. This lappened shortly after 2 a. m. Thursday. Both boys ran from the car and escaped in the dark. Summit was under surveillance sur-veillance by the county officers offi-cers throughout the night and morning until one boy walked walk-ed through the Lyle Farrow yard and gave himself up. The other boy hitched a ride into Parowan later and was ;turned over the the police there. One of the nicest parties ever held here was the Hawaiian Haw-aiian Luau held at the church Friday evening by the Laurels and Explorers. The Cultural Hall was beautifully decorated decorat-ed in keeping with the Hawaiian Haw-aiian theme. One wall was covered with a very artistic mural painted by Eddie Brown. Those attending in addition to the Laurels and Explorers were the M.I. A. officers of-ficers and teachers, the bis-hopric bis-hopric and their wives, and some special guests. A buffet table was loaded with delicious de-licious foods and the entertainment enter-tainment was furnished by Marilee Porter of Cedar City, who danced a number of Polynesian dances, and by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fagg who sang the songs of the Islands and were accompanied by Mrs. Fagg on the ukulele. Linda Kay Richards was in charge of arrangements and was assisted assist-ed by Eddie Brown and Kathy Dorack. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley enjoyed a visit from Mr. Dal-ley's Dal-ley's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Granger of Phoenix, Ariz., and a brother bro-ther and wife, Mr. and Mrs. |
