Show EAGLE SCOUT CHARLES MORRIS Charles Morris Gets Eagle Scout Award Charles Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Morris of Cedar City was accorded the coveted rank of Eagle Scout at the Cedar Breaks District Court of Honor held Sunday evening at the Cedar West Stake House. The award was presented by District Advancement Chairman A. Richard Olds, and the newest Eagle in the District was welcomed into the select rank by other Eagle Scouts in attendance. Morris is a member of Troop 371 and his parents, and Scout Master Gilbert Hull, were also recognized for the part they played in encouraging and helping him along the way. Olds pointed out that only one of every six scouts attain the rank of Eagle. Highlights of his scouting career were also reveiwed during dur-ing the presentation in which he indicated a "freeze-out" as one of the most remembered events. The part scouting played and will play in his life were also reviewed and he was charged to set an example for those scouts following fol-lowing in his footsteps. Other advancements and merit badge awards were made during the evening to troops of the Cedar Breaks District. Master of ceremonies for the Court of Honor was Otto Fife, member of the Cedar Ce-dar Breaks District Committee. |
