Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Winter-rose, Winter-rose, native Cedar City residents, resi-dents, returned last wee from their winter home in Phoenix, Ariz. While hereto attend funeral fun-eral services for L. A. Burras-cano, Burras-cano, they were pleased to spend time visiting with their son, Richard, and family. Mrs. Rhea Wakeling recently recent-ly returned home from an 8 day vacation in Phoenix, and Mesa, Ariz. She had been invited in-vited to visit in Arizona with Mr. and Mrs. Rex Phelps. Mrs. Phelps Is the former Elaine Spilsbury from southern Utah. During the 8 days which Mrs. Wakeling spent in Arizona she was entertained by her hosts who took her sight-seeing and to attend the cinerama, cine-rama, "The Story of the Bible." Also enjoyable to Mrs. Wakeling Wakel-ing was being in attendance at a stage show staring Eve Arden. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Isom and baby of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Isom of Salt Lake City were in Cedar City to be with Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Isom during the celebration of Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Higbee, brother and sister-in-law of Mrs. Rhea Wakeling, were in Cedar City recently from their home in Yuciapa, California. Miss Elizabeth Parkinson was among the college students stu-dents who returned to Cedar City to spend spring vacation. She is a student at the University Uni-versity of Utah and will return re-turn after visiting with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. F. B, Parkinson. Mr. and Mrs. John South -wick of Dugway were spend- Others with whom Mrs. Wakeling visited were Howard How-ard Grant and Lillian Hurler Millett. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dover of Cedar City drove to Phoenix,1 Ariz., to visit with their son, j Boyd, and his wife, Deann, ! and their baby. In Phoenix , they met other family members, mem-bers, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Os-born Os-born of Blanding, and Mrs. Robert Skinner of Cedar City who flew to Arizona to enjoy the reunion of the Dovers. Ac-1 companying the Bill Dovers home was Deann Dover and babv who are currently guests in Cedar City. H. H. Club ing the Easter vacation with Mrs. Southwick's mother, Mrs. Maxine Adams. Other vaca- tioners who arrived in south- 1 em Utah to spend the holiday ! with relatives were Mr. and ' Mrs. Boyd Snow and children ! of Huntington, who enjoyed J the company of Mrs. Snow's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Palmer. s Mrs. Lillie Clark accompan- 5 ied her brother, Claude Smith, J to Phoenix, Gilbert and Mesa, s Ariz., where the two of them $ divided their vacation time among family members in- eluding Mr. and Mrs. R. Ful- "i ler, and Mr. and Mrs. Wra. i Hunter. Members of the semi-monthly literary club met Thurs-1 day afternoon at the home1 of Berniece Merryweather. As j guest speaker, the lesson j chairman invited Mamie Eck to present an informative talk ! on aspects of the state welfare program. The ladies in attendance atten-dance participated In a discussion dis-cussion and a question-answer period following the report re-port by Miss Eck. |
