Show Taylor Parkinson, Former Resident, Dies in Utah County W. Taylor Parkinson, 65, a long time resident of Parowan and known by many residents , of the community died Friday, I Mar. 24 of a heart ailment in Salem, Utah County. Mr. Parkinson Park-inson has been a resident of Benjamin, Utah for many years where he owned and operated a mercantile business. busi-ness. Born Dec. 7, 1901 in Beaver to George and Josephine Taylor Tay-lor Parkinson, he came to Parowan Par-owan where he was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor, following the death of his mother at his birth. He resided here until after he completed his school- f ing and became a teacher. I He Married Vera Johnson, Aug. 18, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they 'later, moved to Benjamin to make a home.. I Survivors include his widow of Benjamin, and the following follow-ing sons and daughters: John, I Reno, Nev.; Robert J., Granger; Grang-er; Mrs. Max (Donna) Hill, Provo; Mrs. D. W. (Linda) Ballard, San Francisco; and George J. , of Fremont, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mark (Ethel) Woolsey, Beaver. Funeral services were held for Mr. Parkinson in the Benjamin Ben-jamin Ward chapel on Monday Mon-day at 1 p. m. and burial took place in the Benjamin cemetery. |
