Show Cedar Baseball Team Opens Play this Friday Coach Richard Hobbs trimmed trim-med his defending Class B High School baseball team to 15 men Tuesday of this week In preparation for his defense of that title. The Redmen will get the season underway this week ena wnen iney participate in a Dixie High tournament at St. George on Friday afternoon after-noon and evening. Four teams are included in the tournament, including Cedar, Ce-dar, Dixie, North and South Sevier High Schools. According to Don Lay, Dixie High coach, the Redmen and North Sevier will will clash at 2 p. m. followed by a game between Dixie and South Sov- 1 ier at 3:30 p. m. At 6 p. m. Cedar and South1! Sevier will meet and Dixie i will take on North Sevier in I ' the final action of the double- j header series. Region Eight league play will get underway on Friday,'. April 7, with the Redmen , tackling the Kanab Cowboys f in their opener. i 1 Coach Hobbs has a number r of returning lettermen from last year's state championship team. They include: Mike Petty, Wynn Isom, Glade Hey-borne, Hey-borne, Robyn Reid, Wade Roberts, Ro-berts, Gary Whitney, Robert Smith, Gary Gulliford, and Dale Hatch.
