Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mr. and Mrs. G. D. MacDon-ald MacDon-ald of Lander, Wyo. were in Cedar City this past week end to spend the Easter holiday with their son and daughter-in-la v, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan MacDonald and with Mrs. Lil-lian Lil-lian MacFarlane. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Pickering Picker-ing of West Virginia stopped in Cedar City to spend the Easter holiday with Mrs. Pickering's Pick-ering's sister, Danna, who recently re-cently moved here to make-her make-her home. The Pickerings were enroute to Pomona, California, to visit other relatives. Among the many out-of-town guests who were here especially for the wedding reception re-ception of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gor-don Bulloch were Miss Betty Bulloch of Salt Lake City, who was a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Chick Bulloch and Tommy Tom-my Kirtley and Miss Rose Rider Rid-er of Las Vegas. Parkinson Parkin-son were pleased to have the company of Mrs. Parkinson's sister, Mrs. William Rose, and her two daughters, Virginia and Brenda of Yuciapa, Calif. They arrived Wednesday, March 22, and returned after the Easter holiday. Miss Mary Ann Palmer and brother Kent Palmer both returned re-turned to Cedar City for their Spring vacation from studi"" at the University of U They were at home with tl parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Palmer. Pinochle clubs held this week included a Thursday night event hosted by Arlene Wright with Diana Smith and Zola Halsey as guests, and a Wednesday night social host-ted host-ted by Lynda Hollerman with wives of forest service em-1 em-1 ployees, met Wednesday evening, even-ing, March 22, at the home of Jean Christensen. Assisting Mrs. Christensen as co-hostesses were Rayma Clark, Glen-na Glen-na Petersen and Lois Mech-am. Mech-am. A lecture intitled "Fascinating "Fas-cinating Womanhood", prepared prepar-ed from the book by the same title, was given by Joanna Brown. The next meeting for the group members has been slated for April 19th at the home of Avis Shumate. ss Susan Murray, daugh-i' daugh-i' of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Murray Mur-ray arrived home for a holiday holi-day with her parents and friends. She plans to entertain a college friend who accompanied accom-panied her until this week end when they both return to their studies at the University of Colorado. MarJean Reber as a guest. High score awards were presented pre-sented Tarn Higbee, Lana Smith and Alice Holyoak. An Easter holiday in southern south-ern Utah was enjoyed by Mrs. Douglas Bennett, and children, Kent, LeeAnn and Randy of Buena Park, California, who were here with Mrs. Bennett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Draper. Mrs. Bennett is the former Miss Janet Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Draper had previously previous-ly spent several days at the Bennett home In California. Mrs. Roy Lundgren, who has been spending the winter In Salt Lake City, returned to Cedar City last week end accompanied ac-companied by her daughter, Mrs. Paul Bingham and two sons Eric and Greg. Also home with the Lundgrens was Douglas Doug-las Lundgren, who is a student stu-dent at Westminister College. PINENUTS CLUB Pinenuts club members, |
