MATHESON Claudine Smith and Danny Floyd Matheson Exchange Marriage Vows Saturday at CSU The Family Living Center at the College of Southern Utah was the setting for the wedding of Miss Claudette Smith and Danny Floyd Matin-son. Bishop Giles Bolander officiated at the Saturday, June 6 double ring rites. The former Miss Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude L. Smith. Parents of the bridegroom bride-groom are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Matheson, Cedar City. The bride wore an original white gown adorned with an ap-pllqued ap-pllqued floral-patterned front. Imitation jewels accented the dress in front and a rolled-rose bow created a bustle effect in the back. Matching the dress was Claudette's rolled-rose headpiece head-piece which held a bridal veil falling to elbow length. Ivy, split carnations atui su-phonotis highlighted high-lighted a white orchid bouquet fashioned into a cascade design. Matching full-iength dresses of turquoise and tulle head dresses were worn by the bride's attendants. attend-ants. Miss Jackie Heap served a. maid of honor. Miss Carol Miles and Miss Kathy Smith were hrlHASmjlMs Attnriinnr matron were Susan Orton and Mrs. Dorothy Doro-thy Robb. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Mary Kaye Matheson and Miss Robin Brinderson. Each attendant carried a pink net ball with garlands of pink roses and ivy. Hats for the attendants were made by Mrs. Giles Bolander. Brother of the bridegroom, Don A. Matheson, ' ?rved as best man. Ushers were the bride's brother Gene Smith, Kent Smith, Gary Mackelprang, Matt Bulloch and Gail Roberts. The brides mother wore a pink knit dress with a corsage arranged arrang-ed with pink and white glamel-las. glamel-las. The bridegroom's mother wore a beige knit with pink and white glamelia corsage. Playing the wedding march and background music during the reception was Mrs. Milton Hyatt. Guest book attendants were Mrs. Joe (Sally) Melling and Mrs. Gene (Lana) Smith. Serving as hostesses were Mur-lal Mur-lal Smith and Ruby Smith. They each wore corsages of split pink carnations. Pouring were Jean Bulloch, Norda Barton, Lois Linford, Clau dine Prince, Jackie Bulloch and Sharon Woolsey. Petite sisters, Cathy, Linda and Suzette Clark served mint nuts. Gift bearers were Collins Clark, Mackie Matheson Math-eson and Clark Webster. Gift room attendants were Marion Arns, Louise Brinderson, Erma Clark and Pan Orton. The bride charged to a brown and white suit with red accessories acces-sories before departing for a honeymoon trip to Palm Springs, Calif. Claudette and Danny both ' graduated from Cedar City High School and both have attended College of Southern Utah. While in high school, Claudette served as cheerleader for three years. At CSU she was active i i a :;-rorlty :;-rorlty group and other social clr-' cles. She is employed by the telephone company. The newlyweds will return from their honeymoon to make their home in Cedar City. |
